2005-03-22 - Jaws

Following an excellent suggestion (and critique) yesterday from Jason, I'll be trying to write more about why I choose and like the shots I post. It should be a good challenge and something that I will need to practice... So here goes!

Although far from perfect, I like this photo for a number of reasons. First of all, I think the contrast between the soft background and the sharp thorns on this tree really emphasise the menacing look. Also, when you first see the photo, you could be forgiven for thinking it was the wrong way up - it could be a bizzare looking crocodile on the side (or maybe that's just me). I'm a big fan of photos that reveal more details and possible meanings, the longer you look at them. This shot could've been slightly better focused but I'm still quite happy with it.

James 'Jimbo' Picton Great images Stephen! It's nice to see a fellow CQU multimedia with an eye for photography. Great site and nice work with Catalyst as well :-)

All the best,
Jimbo
