2005-06-08 - Upon Reflection

Today marks my 100th daily photo since starting on March 1st, 2005 :-) I'm quite pleased with myself for managing to keep up the daily posts even when things were busy (still are). It has been both a fun and challenging experience and I think I'm improving as a result, so it has definitely been worthwhile. I would like to thank everyone who has commented so far and left useful feedback - even if I don't always get time to respond to comments (working on that!), I read and appreciate them all.

100 photos isn't really a big milestone, especially compared to some of the other photologs out there, but I wanted to do something at least a little different / special. This is what I came up with - a photo taken last year on a visit to Lake Matheson, New Zealand. The photo itself is not that amazing but I like it because it reminds me of the place and the great sense of calm I felt in the hour or more I spent there, watching the sunrise. No matter what's happening in life, sometimes you've just got to take some time out...

PS: Happy Birthday, Kris!

Great effor with this and it's perfect for the 100th image.
Fred Absolutely amazing, I love how peaceful and tranquil it looks. Also has a sort of eerie and mysterious feel about it.
Stephen Cameron Lake Matheson is a fantastic place... Even though it's hard to take an original shot here, just being there and absorbing the tranquil atmosphere is a great experience.
