2005-09-15 - Pearly Drummer
As promised yesterday, another photo from the Childers Multicultural Festival. This is the drummer from the same reggae band (I've forgotten their name unfortunately). This guy was really cool and always had a big smile on his face. It's good to see someone who clearly is enjoying life and what they do. It reminds me of a quote a read somewhere recently -- we work to live, not live to work.
From a technical point of view, I think this shot leaves quite a bit to be desired. The foreground is a bit messy and it is not totally sharp. I considered cropping it much more tightly to remove distractions but then the drum kit is lost and so too is half the story behind the picture.
