2007-09-10 - Giant's Causeway 2

While I wasn't totally happy with yesterday's photo of the Giant's Causeway, I'm much happier with this one. This was more the effect I had in mind. I was hoping for an even more misty look but I couldn't get a slow enough shutter speed (despite it being after 9pm, cloudy and using ISO 100, F/29 and a circular polariser to cut the light). I also really pushed the saturation in this shot and I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle colours that came out of the original flat image.

Susan Beautiful! Really love the colour.
Kris Interesting colours. Quite cool actually. How much did you up the saturation? (How bright was the orginal image?)
Stephen Cameron Kris - since it was late in the day and very overcast, there was no real colour visible. It was only after I pushed the saturation during the RAW conversion that I revealed these subtle colours. The brightness didn't change too much.
Ian More colour than I got but too beautiful? Tis a dark and dirty place begorrah!
