As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I was given the opportunity to climb a water tower to take a few photos of the multicultural festival taking place below. It was quite an experience - I had to wear a full climbing harness and be tied in the whole time. By the time I got up to the top, the day was moving on and most of the crowds had subsided, making for a less dramatic scene; very interesting all the same.
I took a number of handheld shots for this panorama, which I quickly stitched together using Autostitch, an amazing little program. What you see is only a section of the resulting panorama - I didn't want to make it too wide or it would not have fitted in with my photolog layout without making it ridiculously short. I'll have to figure out a better way of incorporating panoramas into the photolog since I have a few from New Zealand that I didn't post due to their awkward shape.
