2005-12-15 - Eye See
It's settled, I'm getting a 70-200 VR! This lens just keeps amazing me.
Today I tried out some extension tubes (also borrowed) for the first time. For this particular shot I think I had 3 Kenko tubes stacked: 12mm, 20mm and 36mm. Stacking more than one extension tube on the end of the lens stops auto focus and VR from working but that is not a big problem (although, I wouldn't have minded the help from the VR). Apart from the clarity and sharpness of this shot, the thing I really love is the colourful reflection on the iris.
Technical details: 200mm, F/5.6, ISO 800, 1/160s hand held.
I forgot to mention yesterday, I just passed 20,000 photos with the D70 since getting it last July. Brilliant camera :-)
