2006-03-21 - Little Friend

After my previous attempts at photographing small birds, I was determined to get something better. I didn't have to wait too long. At about 8pm the same day, I found this little character (a robin?) fluttering around in some bushes nearby. I spent the next 20 minutes carefully stalking this little guy and towards the end, I managed to get quite close, which was good since I "only" had a 200mm lens.

Considering the conditions - low light, fast movement and shallow depth of field - I don't think I could have hoped for much more in this shot.
