2006-11-30 - Smoked Out

This isn't the best shot but I thought I'd include it as part of the fire series because it is quite different and I liked the atmosphere. As I discovered with concert photography, smoke is great for stretching a little light a long way - or at least spreading it out so it is more evenly distributed. I was hoping for a better outline of the fire fighter in the headlights but I only managed to get one shot before he moved away.

Technical details: ISO 1000, F/4.8, 1/40s @ 340mm hand held.
