2007-05-05 - Rolling Dust Storm

Recently, while I had a day at home, I heard a large truck thundering up and down the road delivering and then picking up various bits of machinery. Being a dirt road and with a seemingly never-ending dry spell, there was plenty of dust raised. Not the best thing for a digital camera but good for a dramatic shot so I camped in the middle of the road and waited for the approaching rumble...

This is one of those times when it pays to not get too involved in taking a shot. If I hadn't moved off the road, somehow I don't think the truck would have stopped in time (and then my shot would be ruined!)
