Hybrid Vision: Photo Log by Stephen Cameron

I'm in two minds about this photo - on one hand I like the family grouping and the relative simplicity of the scene but at the same time, I feel a bit uneasy about it. The weary expressions on their faces make me wonder if I went too far capturing this image. I always try to be as respectful and subtle as possible with my photography while also attempting to capture the most interesting images I can. It's an awkward balance at times. I love candid photographs especially because they somehow seem more real to me. They're not polluted by the camera's presence. I was going for a candid image of this Moroccan family enjoying the morning at the beach but it ended up being far from that... Sometimes I do wish I could be invisible.
